BAUL LEGENDS OF BANGLADESH

The genre called Baul was spread throughout Bangladesh by the legend baul musician Lalon Sai. He is called Baul king.Baul songs are shows the real human life. Despite not being educated in regular education system they spoke a lot about life philosophy.

Lalon Sai: Lalon was Humanist.His non communal mentality force him to write songs.His philosophy and songs inspired many famous novelist like Robindranath Thakur, Kazi Nazrul Islam..He was given the Mahatma titled in Indian subcontinent before Gandhi.

Hasan Raza: Hasan Raza's real name is Dewan Hasan Raza. After the refinement of philosophy like Lalon sai his name always comes first.His Two hundred and six songs compiled "HASAN UDAS" book.He wrote some hindi songs also .

Shah Abdul Karim: Shah Abdul Karim's songs is popular in the Bhati region but he is also popular with the city people.He was written more than one thousand Five hundred song.His songs talk about injustice, anti - secular as well as the enjoyment of love of people Bhati region.H was inspired by Lalon sai, Punju Shah and philosophy of Duddu Shah.His 10 songs are translated in English by Bangla Academy.

Mukundu das: Mukundu das achived fame by composing many revolutionary songs and play. He was founder of Jatra

Radha Raman Datta: He was a bengali novelist,saint poet,Baul,founder of  Dhamali dance.He was famed in folk musicians.His Dhamail songs are very popular in sylhet and the bengali's of India.

Ukil Munshi:His real name is Abdul Hazi akand.Among his two brother he was big.In December 1996 he got married in jalal pur village and settled there.His first child Abdus Sattar,who also another famous baul was born in 1918.Besides baul songs Ukil munshi was well known in Maljora and sad song.He wrote about 1000 songs.Ukil Munshi was died in 6 august in 1978.

Rajjab Ali Dewan: Rajjab Ali Dewan was born at Carchan Para Village in Dhaka District in Nineteen twenty two.His father keen interest is the motivation of his song.He took BIAT from pir Moulovi Muhammad Dayal Abdul Kader Shah Chisty and started singing practicing and professionally singing from 1966 on the orders of Guru.Rajjab Ali Dewan was very interested in Marmi music.His many songs still can be heard on Radio and Tv.He died in nineteen ninety two.

Fakir Durbin Shah: Fakir Durbin Shah ,without him Marmi literature of Sylhet cant be imagined .In 1968 when he was traveling to London Shah Abdul Karim was one of the travel mate of his.There they performed music on different occasion .His song NAMAZ AMAR HOILONA ADAI used in famous movie maker Hrittik Ghatak's film  Jukti Tokko Goppo in 1978.
