Humayun Ahmed was a famous Bangladeshi author, dramatist, filmmaker, script writer, play writer and song writer. He was multi talented and most popular person in Bangladesh. He reached peak of his fame with the publication of his nivel " NONDITO NOROKE " (A BLISSFUL HELL) in 1972. Which remains one of his most famous work.
He wrote over 200 fictions and non fiction book. All of which were best sellers in Bangladesh, not only as a novelist, rather he was successful in all the branch of his works. His one of the most popular ability was song writing. Humayun Ahmed directected all about 8 movies with his own novels and 5 movies by other director. He wrote almost 50 original songs which were got huge popularity in Bangladesh.
He was not a professional lyric writer, rather he used to wrote songs just in need for his movies. His first song was " EK JE CHILO SONAR KOINNA " was featured in movie " SHRABON MEGHER DINEY, which were super hit song of Bangladeshi movies of the year . The song composed by Maksud Jamil Mintoo. Mintoo was composed Humayun Ahmed's most of songs. He composed Humayun Ahmed's over 30 songs. Though Humayun Ahmed did not writes the song " EK JE CHILO SONAR KOINNA" to thinking for movies, he just wrote it for his pleasure. Since then he kept writing the song acording to his other activities.
His last song was " THIKANA AMAR NOTE BOOK E ACHE " was used in telefilm " JODI VALO NA LAGE TO DIYONA MON " which composed by Emon Saha. Emon Saha was composed his another song LILUA BATASH which featured in movie " EK CUP CHA "
Humayun Ahmed's songs usually did not follow the 3 basic pattern MUKHRA, ONTORA and SONCHARI.rather his song follow to the modern poems style. His songs could easily connected to the audience because its simplicity and profundity.
