James is a Bangladeshi Guitarist, singer and composer. His full name is Faruq Mahfuz Anam. He started his music carrier as a band member of "Nagar Bawl" (formerly known as "Feelings" ).
James is very popular among Bangladeshi people and also in India because of his different singing style and distinct vocal. His supporters call him "Guru". James released his debut album with his band "Station Road" in 1987 and his solo debut album "Ananya" in 1988. He released four studio and a compilation album with band and eight studio album in solo artist. In early years he so much inspired by Jim Morrison, Mark Knofler and Eric Clapton.
Besides as a bangldeshi artist he sang in many bollywood movies and became hit superstar in India. His song "Bheege Bheege" from the movie "Gangster" was a block buster hit in Indian Top Chart for more than a month.
Besides music carrier he is a co- owner of a production house named Red Dot Entertainment.
