Timeless song writer Gouri Prosonno Mojumdar

 

Gouri prosonno Mojumdar( 1925-1986) was renowned Bangladeshi songwriter. His song inspired to freedom fighters during the liberation war in 1971 against Pakistan. 

Gouri Prosonno Mojumdar born in Pabna.His father name was Giriz Prosad Mojumdar.He was the botanist. He lived in Faridpur sub district. Gouri Prosonno Mojumdar had sent to Kolkata for better studies in his childhood. There he spent his school life.Before the division of the country he came back in his birth place and did admission in Pabna Government Edward college.Then in 1951 he again went back to Kolkata,and admitted in Kolkata University. From there he took His M.A degree in English Literature. Then he took also his second M.A Degree in Bengali and Lilterature 

His whole family had migrated in Kolkata from Faridpur in 1965. Since then their place stays abandoned place for many years.But now their place using as a health complex 

Gouri Prosonno Mojumdar was a true friend of the war of liberation of Bangladesh and the creator of mane timeless songs.
